Samantha Olsen is a licensed physical therapist who has been practicing in the outpatient
orthopedic and sports medicine field since 2015. She received her Bachelor of Science in
Exercise Science from Simmons College graduating magna cum laude and she remained at
Simmons College for her graduate education earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015.
Sam’s clinical specialties include a combination of manual therapy and corrective exercise as
they pertain to both preventative and rehabilitative care for people of all ages and lifestyles. As a
continual learner she has taken courses on various functional movement screening,
performance training and programming, blood flow restriction therapy, and general strength and
conditioning to maximize her patient outcomes. Her next clinical conquest is studying to
become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Growing up Sam had a passion for sports and fitness which helped to shape her professional
interests and goals. From a young age she has been involved in athletics playing volleyball,
basketball, and lacrosse, and has also been skiing for as long as she has been walking. She
continues her love for athletics by remaining active with volleyball and recreational running as
well as outdoor sports including hiking, skiing, and kayaking throughout the New England and
western regions. In line with her professional interests, Sam has also become more personally
involved in strength and conditioning to maximize her athletic performance and maintain a
healthy and fit lifestyle.
