Michelle Fuleky, PT, DPT


Michelle Fuleky, PT, DPT, OCS is the Clinic Manager at the Plainville, Massachusetts clinic. She has been a physical therapist in orthopedics and sports medicine for pediatrics and adults since earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University in 2011. Michelle graduated with honors and received the Marcia Ebert Award for clinical excellence for her work in the field. Prior to her time at Columbia, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Science in exercise science, graduating magna cum laude, from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio in 2008.

Michelle has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2008. She is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, is certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment and in 2015, became an emergency medical responder (EMR). During the summer of 2015, she worked as an EMR for the Rhode Island Rebellion semi-professional rugby team.

Michelle has a special interest in manual therapy, including manipulation and mobilization, as part of her treatment for athletes. In 2014, she completed a nine-month orthopedic seminar for manual therapy applications and skills.

With a passion for continuing education, Michelle has taken a wide variety of courses to continue to improve her patient care for sports related injuries. She has taken classes specializing in injuries related to running, rehabilitation of the foot and ankle and the female athlete.

Michelle has helped develop a prevention and return to sport program for Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstructive surgery. In 2014, she presented her program at the 360 Sports Medicine multi-disciplinary continuing education event.

Growing up, Michelle had a love for athletics and became a competitive tennis player with a United States Tennis Association national ranking of top 100. By the age of 13, her injuries lead to her dream of becoming a physical therapist. At Youngstown State, Michelle played NCAA Division I tennis, where she earned the number one spot her junior year. Since graduation, she has continued her athletic interests as a runner, completing five half marathons. Michelle also enjoys cycling and beach volleyball.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Michelle now resides in Providence, Rhode Island with her fiancé Norm and their dog Cole.
