Emma Alfred is a licensed physical therapist and certified athletic trainer. She received her
Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Purdue University in 2018 and her Doctor of
Physical Therapy from High Point University in 2021. Emma gained an interest in the physical
therapy field from her own injury experiences growing up and from her passion for exercise.
Born and raised in Warren, RI, Emma graduated from St. Mary Academy—Bay View in 2014.
She grew up playing many different sports with soccer and lacrosse being her favorite. Today,
Emma continues to be passionate about sports, athletes, fitness, living a healthy lifestyle and
sharing that passion with others. She enjoys being outside, watching Purdue and New England
sports games and hanging out with her pup Bailey.
Throughout her undergraduate career at Purdue, Emma worked with many types of collegiate
and high school athletes including cross country, track and field, football, and wrestling. Most
notably, she was the lead athletic training student with the Purdue Women’s Soccer team,
where she and her clinical instructor cared for the team for an entire academic year. In her
graduate career at High Point, Emma gained experience in many different physical therapy
settings, including a clinical affiliation with EXOS Sports Medicine and Sports Performance in
Frisco, TX. There, she rehabilitated both professional and recreational athletes and gained
valuable knowledge in the interdisciplinary field of physical therapy and sports performance.
Emma’s next goal is to become an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and continue to grow her
skillset in the physical therapy profession. She is excited to be part of the
FOUNDATIONperformance team and help others achieve their health and fitness related goals.
