Cameron Yeaman PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist in the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He has been working with patients in orthopedics and sports medicine since 2011 and as a physical therapist since 2016. Cameron earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Boston University where he served asVice President of the Boston University Physical Therapy Association and received the Jean Houston Scholarship for both clinical and academic excellence. While at Boston University he worked with Dr. Cara Lewis as a research assistant in the Human Adaptation Laboratory and completed a year-long practicum project investigating differences in biomechanics across various lower extremity exercises. He also gained extensive clinical experience in orthopedics and sports medicine while completing rotations at Boston Sports Medicine, Colorado Sport and Spine Center, and ProEx Physical Therapy.
Prior to his graduate work, Cameron earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado – Boulder with a double major in Integrated Physiology and Psychology as well as Certificate in Neuroscience. He worked as a research assistant in the CU Locomotion Laboratory under the direction of Dr. Rodger Kram on a Nike-funded study investigating the effects of feedback on running efficiency and impact forces. During his time at the University of Colorado, he also worked with Division One athletes on the Cross Country, Track & Field, and Football teams as part of the CU Sports Medicine program. Cameron has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2013 and is an active member of both the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Sections. His clinical interests include sports medicine and manual joint mobilization and manipulation. To further progress these skills, he is training with the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy as a Level One Fellow and has received his certification as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR).
Cameron has pursued a wide array of education opportunities, including courses in running injury treatment & prevention and orthopedic excellence; as well as participation in several local and national physical therapy conferences. Athletics and physical performance have always been an integral aspect of Cameron’s life. He was a varsity athlete in Cross Country and Track & Field in high school and a member of the University of Colorado club Ultimate Frisbee team, finishing 3 rd in nationals during his final year with the team. A native of Denver, Colorado, Cameron enjoys exploring the outdoors and spends his free time hiking, snowboarding, or mountaineering in the high peaks of the White Mountains.
